Hey sweeties!
I came across this quote today and it gave me great encouragement!
I'm not sure about you all, but sometimes I have trouble living in the past and the future. Somehow, my present has been skipped over with regrets and memories of the past and the fear and hope of what is to come.
I often forget that life is beautiful, and I am wasting precious time grieving over a past that is gone and a future that has not even come yet.
I have so money hopes and dreams and sometimes I only focus on what is to come in the future, I fear that I may be missing something so beautiful in the present moment.
I think that from now on, I am going to do one thing each day that makes each day memorable.
Whether that be by apologizing to someone and rekindlind a friendship, speaking some of my mind, or just doing something completly crazy.
I promise to do something everyday that will make each day worth remembering.
I guess I should start today and tell you all what crazy thing I did.
I go to a huge campus and only have 15 minutes inbetween each class. One of my teachers does not allow you into the classroom if you are one second late.
Today I accidentally gave myself 8 minutes to make it completly across campus and get there on time.
I started walking fast, but it just wasn't cutting it. So with four minutes left, a backpack stuffed to the rim with books, and a freezing cold day. . . I ran.
I ran like a crazy person across the entire campus and laughed my head off the whole time I did it.
I'm sure I looked insane and people thought I was crazy, but that didn't matter to me. And you know what? Two other people ran with me. It was hilarious. And it was fun and exciting. And better yet, I made it to class on time. :)
This is my moment of the day and there is only more oppurtunities to be had.
Do any of you have special memories about today?
If not , get off your computer and go make one! :)
Love you all!
Brooke

Hi Brooke, I have a feeling you are about the age of my g/daughter Amanda, she's in her 3rd year of college. I like your decision to do one thing each day that makes each day memorable...Making memories is what it's all about Brooke!
ReplyDeleteSince you were nice enough to follow me, I will follow you. I look forward to getting to know you. I live in Ohio, have 9 g/children, love to walk in the woods and my favorite time of day is dawn and watching the sunrise. Have only been blogging for a year and I have made so many wonderful friends! You will too!
Brooke, Yeah for you. Sometimes we live in the same little small world but there's so much out there to enjoy. Make a break for it.
ReplyDeleteA friend of mine decided about a month ago to write something he's thankful for every day on Facebook. So far, he's kept his word and not run out of things for which he is thankful. That's looking for the positive!
